My Obsession with Online Shopping

So a few years back 10 to be exact my family and I lived in Budapest, Hungary and then is when my online shopping started. We had two small kids and we live in a country where communication barriers where tremendous also, I could not find the items I like or wanted and when I found a store I like it was hard to get there. Gps was still not as effective there.    Then,  we move to an island the Dominican Republic and to Punta Cana to be exact.  As Punta Cana was still developing and people usually went to the capital to get most of the items and for us was not that easy to do, well my online shopping continues to the point that I furnished my whole house like that.  After Punta Cana we moved to Montego Bay, Jamaica and my need to buy everything online had to stop as i could not have it delivered to the island because of high taxes so I opted for sending everything to my parent's house in Panama and I pick it up when I was on holiday.  At this point, I was buying clothes in bulk so it lasted the kids a few months before I needed to order them again.  Last few years we have lived in a country that has everything, but traffic and convenience have ruled out always in my life so I have pretty become and experience online shopper from small items to big household items.

So as I rarely shop in stores anymore unless is a very last minute item or present I need to get.    On a recent trip to the states I decided I was going to have the full shopping experience and buy a few items at the stores for my surprised I went to the counters of Sephora and Nordstrom and many of the items I wanted were sold out or out of stock or not sold directly in stores. Besides, I was looking for some designer sunglasses in an important store in NY and to my surprise, it happens that some designers limit their items to direct channels of sales and have online exclusive collections as it was this particular case.  So at the end I had to order the items online.  Hence, point proved at least on my personal experience I would continue to shop online as it is easy and practical and I can find anything I want.

Happy Shopping

xoxo

Online shopping is definitely convenient, but it can also be a source of addiction. I know a lot of people who are very much very addicted to online shopping. I feel like there are people who would not be able to control themselves, and truth be told, it must always be the case. I hope that we can all use online shopping only for its convenience. It is not proper to use online shopping for our own addiction, it just isn't.

Unlike you, I am actually not really into online shopping not only because I do not have the money but also because I have some trust issues when it comes to the quality of the products online. However, I must still admit that I believe how effective and profitable it is to sell things online because of the convenience it gives to the seller. I am even thinking of doing the same thing and run my own online business. With this being said, I think it is time for me to build trust with online products and make sure that I will also help people change the way they think about the said products. Anyway, just so you know, what you wrote here has helped me a lot with making this decision that I have right now.
